Construction Has Begun on
Our New WI Campus

We are excited to announce that construction of our new NCI Wisconsin facility has begun! The first building on the new Sky View campus will be 11,420 sq ft. The facility will house multiple classrooms, an office, activity rooms and storage space. The exterior of the building has been designed to blend into the vernacular of the rural Wisconsin landscape. Our new Mukwonago WI location encompasses 140 acres and includes an existing barn, horse stables and workshop. We can't wait to share our progress! Anticipated completion by August 2016.

Storm Chasers

Students learn about the basics of our weather. The activities in this class help the students to understand how the polarity of the water molecule results in clouds and rain. Students will also learn how the sun heats the earth unevenly leading to our local and global wind patterns.

Glow-in-the-Dark Slime

Looking for a fun and imaginative activity for your class? Give Glow-in-the-Dark Slime a try! Quick set-up with common household items - white glue, paint, borax and water - then let your students create!

Students Who Lose Recess Are the Ones Who Need It Most

Despite overwhelming evidence that periods of unstructured play and social interaction are a crucial part of children’s cognitive, academic, physical and mental wellness, schools continue to take away recess privileges as a penalty for academic or behavioral transgressions. Recess provides an opportunity to refill children’s reserves of self-control through play and expression that’s free from structure, rules, and rigorous cognitive tasks.

Exclusive Access to Exquisite Rose Garden

Indulge in nature's beauty by attending an exceptional afternoon in Will Radler's private 2 acre rose garden in Hales Corners WI. This exclusive event will be held Sunday, June 26 from 2-4pm. Mr Radler is the developer of the popular Knock Out® shrub roses. More than 80 million Knock Out® roses have been sold since the first was introduced in 2000, making it the best selling rose series in the U.S. The fundraiser will support the capital building campaign for the new NCI Wisconsin Sky View campus. The event will feature cuisine by the renowned chef, Peggy Magister of Crazy Water in Milwaukee. $100 per garden attendee.

Brain Changes Due to Exposure to Nature

Various studies have found that urban dwellers with little access to green spaces have a higher incidence of psychological problems than people living near parks and that city dwellers who visit natural environments have lower levels of stress hormones immediately afterward than people who have not recently been outside. Getting out into natural environments could be an easy and almost immediate way to improve moods for city dwellers.

NCI Bruceville TX

Located in Central Texas, Nature's Classroom Institute in Bruceville is close to most major Texas cities including Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston. The new EcoVillage sits in the woodlands of nearly 290 acres adjacent to a zoo and vegetable garden. It can house up to 72 people and a kitchen and dining room powered by solar cells. Memorable moments, our modern facility, and a multitude of activities make Nature's Classroom Bruceville far more than the usual retreat experience.
