Updates from the Secretariat
  • Asia Pacific Adaptation Forum
The 5th Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum will bring together policymakers, scientists, donors, youth, and representatives from over 50 countries.

  • State Consultations in India
In the wake of the UN Climate Conference in France, Sendai Framework on Disaster Risk Resilience in Japan and Sustainable Development Goals in United States, the focus has shifted to ‘implementation’. The nations must turn their commitments in the form of NDCs into actions. In India, the states implement the international agreements.
In order to adopt changes in international frameworks and build a momentum to implement State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC), CANSA organised three state consultations in Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim. The consultations focused on integration of Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction, building Climate Resilience in the states and to facilitate design of SAPCC implementation roadmap.
