MacEng Insight: May 2021
May 2021 Newsletter

McMaster Engineering scholars are known for their groundbreaking research. This month, we have exciting news to share. In partnership with colleagues in the US and France, Kathryn Grandfield, associate professor of biomedical engineering and materials science and engineering, was awarded the prestigious Human Frontier Science Award - a first for McMaster University.

Leyla Soleymani is among one of seven McMaster professors named as University Scholars. This honour recognizes researchers who are global leaders in their fields.

We made ten new faculty appointments this spring. Many are familiar faces assuming new roles within the faculty. I welcome Tom Lee who assumes the role of Walter G. Booth endowed chair in Engineering Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

Thanks for reading and take care,
