Week 2:

Another great week of FULL classes at Clifford Studios- thanks to you all for joining us.

Yoga classes will be starting on Thursday 9th Feb so if you're keen, please read on so you can have a say in the timings and style of the classes.
Class times will be happening whilst the children's Tap + Modern sessions are going on the Large Hall, and into the evening; depending on demand. She is offering two styles of Yoga detailed below.

Alice also teaches Barre however, as the Small Hall does not have a barre, we can't offer that at the moment. If enough of you were keen though, we could look into the purchase of a portable one for the future.

We are keen to get these started ASAP as Alice will likely be snapped up elsewhere and we are already paying for the use of the hall.

A series of sequential movements that interlink postures to form a continuous flow. High importance is placed on marrying the use of breath and movement together in harmony.

A slow-paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time. By holding the postures for prolonged periods of time it allows for the stretch to reach the myofascia of the body which, as a result, helps maintain healthy joints and releases fresh blood cells around the entire body, including the organs. Deeply relaxing and challenging at times.


As some of you may know, Jo is embarking on her second marathon in 2017 - (Edinburgh) having completed London in 2007. With adding training in to he already packed teaching schedule, injury prevention is top of the list and where better to start than the feet!

We often neglect them when working out but they are crucial to correct knee, hip and spinal alignment so let's bring them back into the spotlight and try these exercises.

In Pilates and Barre classes we try to focus on feet + ankles so if this is a problem area for you, or if you wear high heels on a daily basis, come + join us!
