W E E K L Y E M A I L # 1 6 :
Well done to you all for remembering about the venue changes last week - a little easier this week as it's just this Saturday that is at Holy Trinity again. This is due to the Barnes Children's Literary Festival which some of you may well be attending and, even taking part in, in the case of our older pupils!
Read on for our first SUMMER SCHOOL REVEAL as wellas news from around the school...

The theme of our week of fun is Pirouettes + Popcorn and, as some of you may have guessed, we'll be taking inspiration from the silver screen for our activities. Each teacher is choosing a film to base their Modern or Ballet dances on for the end of week show and Miss Jo has revealed her choice above...
As a more 'mature' member of the teaching gang, she has fittingly chosen a golden oldie and her favourite film, based mostly on the barn-raising dance choreographed by legend Jerome Robbins. The film was made in 1954 but this dance will no doubt still impress and entertain your children in 2016! Click here to be taken to a YouTube clip of it and click on the image below to book in for summer school!
Big congratulations to Miss Lucy, our wonderful ballet teacher, who has been selected for a fantastic new role within the Royal Academy of Dance.
She is already involved in the Continuing Professional Development of the many teacher members of the organisation, and is now going to be a Tutor + Examiner on the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies course.
This is a distance learning course meaning thankfully it won't impact her teaching for Clifford Studios! She will offer remote email assistance to her students, mark their written work and then examine the practical teaching assessment in person. Miss Jo was more than happy to write a glowing reference for Lucy and we wish her the best of luck.
This has been posted on the exam page of the website and on the Facebook page. Please note that this is still provisional - awaiting final confirmation from the ISTD - however we don't anticipate any drastic changes.
All parents have now been emailed links to the music for their child/children's exams. Please let Miss Jo know if you haven't received one/there is a problem.
HALF TERM COACHING:
We are still awaiting some replies on this but will post the proposed timetable, based on the responses we have had, next week.
