break time!

There will be no classes Saturday 28th May - Sunday 5th June as we break for half term.

Don't let this stop you from exercising though - there are a multitude of home workouts available where all you need is an internet connection! Here's our pick of the best:

1) TMAC : Led by an ex professional American football player turned yogi, these 20 minute intensive workouts are either 'cardio' or 'strength' focussed. Really effective and we particularly enjoy the yoga style start + end to the sessions.

2) SLEEK TECHNIQUE : The only Brits on the list; Victoria and Flik are ex Royal Ballet dancers who have put together a variety of dance inspired workouts. You can claim a free 15 minute Barre workout and then another of your choice when you first register.
MOST SIMILAR TO : BARRE / ADULT BALLET 

3) JILIAN MICHAELS : Her 30 Day Shred is now pretty well known however Jilian has since released several other internet workouts including 'Yoga Meltdown' and 'Body Revolution'. Our favourite is still the shred however and do be sure to start with Level 1! What we like is how accesible her workouts are to all and that she offers plenty of modification options.

4) TRACEY ANDERSON : Not the most likeable personality but Tracy is serious about her workouts which are heavily dance based and will definitely challenge you choreography-wise. Oh, and she's Gwyneth's BFF...

We also recommend Sweaty Betty and LuluLemon's Community Classes - these are totally free and are often yoga based but there is also HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and sometimes martial arts! The Richmond stores of both these chains offer full programmes - just click the name of the store.

Pilates Anytime and Yogaglo are two major players in the online fitness industry and both offer free 15 day trials which should tide you over the week off! We recommend Julie Driver's classes on Pilates Anytime as she is a Body Control Pilates Master teacher. (Body Control is the organisation Jo trained with).

Of course there is no substitute for a live class at Clifford Studios but we hope these keep you going in the meantime!
