Week 7:

We hope you had a restful half term and enjoyed a short break from the constant flow of information coming from Clifford Studios!

As always there's lots to tell you about to please scroll down and read anything that applies.

The most important note is that if you are thinking of stopping classes after Easter, you need to let us know NOW, so that you are not liable to pay for next term's classes. As the majority of you are taking part in the show, we hope this is not the case..

In order to rehearse effectively, there are a number of changes to the timetable in the Summer Term which you need to be aware of. These are outlined below. Any questions, please ask now so that you are not missing any lessons after Easter hols. BALLET STUDENTS: Timetable changes take place from Wednesday 15th March/Monday 20th March.
RAD BALLET EXAMS:

Last coaching this week before exams next Tuesday 7th March!

Friday 3rd March - Holy Trinity
6.15 - 7.00pm - Grade 2
7.00 - 7.45pm - Grade 3
7.45 - 8.30pm - Grade 4

Monday 6th March - Holy Trinity
4.15 - 4.45pm - Pre Primary

Please check the webpage for times and arrangements with regard to the exam day itself.
THE ADDAMS FAMILY :
 
We have now decided that, in addition to the Easter holiday workshops on 3rd + 4th April, regular rehearsals for this will take place on a Friday afternoon.

Requirements:
  • Pupils must be in Grade 1 and above, or attend Jnr/Inter Perf class.
  • Pupils must be able to attend the two Easter holiday workshop dates below.
  • Pupils must commit to Friday rehearsals from after Easter.

Cost:
To take part in the dance there is a charge of £27.50 which covers both Easter workshop dates and the Friday rehearsals after Easter.

There will be a further charge for the costume but, as always, we will aim to keep this to minimum.

* Rehearsals this week will be at an alternative venue as Barnes Children's Literature Festival is in Kitson Hall

YOGA on THURSDAYS:

Following our successful trial classes, Yoga will be taking place from Thursday 9th March on a weekly basis. The timetable will be as below.

We have mats however if you would prefer to bring your own please do.

TIMETABLE CHANGES - SUMMER TERM:

Please click here to see the timetable for the Summer Term OR, for ballet students, from 15th March.

Fees for classes will remain the same, despite the change in the amount of time your children are with us for.

For example, if their usual class is 45 minutes and they will be staying for 60 mins or 75 mins, you will still only be charged for your 45 minute class. We will send out more detailed information towards the end of term - we just wanted to let you know the time changes ASAP.

The only exception to this will be pupils who are NOT taking part in the show and whose lessons have been shortened. We will be emailing these parents/pupils individually with information.
HELP NEEDED!

We are really pleased that 68 pupils will be taking place in our 'Myths, Monsters + Magic' show in June/July.

However, we have only had 2 offers of help from parents to act as chaperones. Without the adequate number of licensed chaperones we will not be permitted to put on the show.

Richmond Council have to grant us a license for the children to perform and we have to submit the names of at least 1 licensed chaperone per 12 children performing.

To become a licensed chaperone an online 'course' in child protection needs to be completed and a CRB check completed. This all takes at least 3 months so we need to get things in motion now.

We are very grateful to the two that have volunteered already and we need at least 9 more. We ask our chaperones to work in teams of two so that each parents gets to see the show and their own children perform.
