Ciao e felice ottobre tutti!
I hope this note finds you and your Fall going well and beautiful. Ours has hit a nice calm after the back-to-school storm which we are enjoying before the next whirlwind: The Holidays! This month I have several pieces on the schedule I am very excited about starting with my annual Witch's Brunch. I have been hosting this for several years now and is one of the highlights of my Fall. I'll share all the fun witchy details. Also to be expected this month: Fall Floral Fashion and Halloween Style. My friend/stylist/blogger/everythinger Amanda Embry kindly consented to be a guest blogger to tell us everything we need to know about dressing on theme without having to wear a costume. Brian will be very proud of me when he sees my post on finances...all these years of nagging finally paid off. :)
My verse for this month is John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
This was the first verse I was given when I started my new Bible Study and it is so appropriate for my recent epiphany. In my post last month about the artist, Anne Neilson, I wrote about feeling so inspired to really listen to the Lord regarding His Will for me, which is not--I have come to find out--the same thing as making a decision on my own and then asking God to bless it.
Guess what! We have three Giveaways this month! Our usual 'share if you care' to win skincare from Sharla's is happening next week, but later in the month Cotton Hearts is giving away one of their darling Texas Ts to one of our lucky readers! Then, to celebrate Anne Neilson's upcoming visit to North Texas for a book signing on November 1 at Sharla's, we will be giving away one of her limited edition prints of the angel entitled Open the Eyes of My Heart.
-ciao for now-
