More Links with Meung-sur-Loire?
Does anyone belong to a club or society where that group could benefit by having links with similar organisations in Meung-Sur-Loire?. This could be a sporting club, or a special interest club such as photography.
Links like this would increase the value of the twinning between our two places, be of value to the Lymm Group and also raise the awareness of the Twinning organisation.
If you are a member of such a group but are unsure where to start then have a chat with Chris Limb (phone 755649 email c.1203@hotmail.co.uk ). Chris is currently talking to Lymm Football Club about possible links with a similar club in Meung.

Social Events
After the Moules Evening and the Exchange we have the following.
On June 18th we will have a stall at the Lymm Food Fest (part of Lymm Festival). Would those people going to France this year like to bring back a packet of something French (e.g. biscuits, Madeleines) that we could put out on the stall to entice people in?
The Summer barbecue is now on the Sunday 5th July. The 12th is nearer Bastille Day but clashed with other events.
The Film Night has moved to Sunday, 27th September. The Lymm Community Centre was booked on our original date.
The Beaujolais Evening will be on Saturday 21st November. More details nearer the date.
The summer events seem like a long way off at the moment but
If you can help man the the Food Festival stall and/or
If you can help with the planning and organisation of the barbecue and/or the High Legh Teas on Sunday 30th August then please let us know.

A Message from Pat
Having landed last Sat at 6.30am having been 11 hours in front in Sydney and 9 hours in Sapporo,(fantastic snow!), we are now hopefully in GB time. The house is now tidy of Xmas decs, glitter hoovered up! Clothes clean, fridge restocked, heating on, hair cut, swirling leaves in bin, bird-feeders refilled, contact with friends being re-established and diary filling up!
I am intending to sort out the dinner club soon! I will have a chat with Kirsty re involving the younger families and I will contact current members and new folk so see who wishes to be involved, then I can do a rota depending on whether folk prefer a 2 or 3 monthly get together.
Any helpful suggestions gratefully received
Pat
