It's a New Year...
Let me begin by wishing you a Happy New Year...I'm so glad you are here with us.
If you are receiving your first newsletter from us then we welcome you with open arms, but if you have been receiving the newsletter I need to know...How do you like the new style?
It is so much easier and that makes for a happy team here at Bead At Home. This was huge help for us to get this set up, it sure makes our life SO much easier which means we can serve you more efficiently!!!
Please share with us how you like it. It will continue to improve as we become more proficient but this is a good start...
With the New Year here I'm wondering...what are your hopes, dreams, goals or plans for 2016? Or are there New Year resolutions you're making?
As we begin looking to the future do you also take time to reflect on the year we just said good-bye to. Do you ask yourself ‘what did I accomplish this past year?’
I feel it's important to take time for reflection, but that's me.
What about you?
I also feel that every living, breathing person wants to live a life with purpose and feel like something has been accomplished…something to get out of bed for every single new morning.
What does 2016 hold for you? What do you want to accomplish? What new things do you want to learn? What new projects are you going to create?
A New Year can be looked upon as a fresh new pallet, a new beginning to fill with all you want to see or a task master to learn to handle those things that are thrown in your path that you weren't expecting.
I've had a few years like that...most recently too. These hiccups in life are no fun. As for me, beading and community with you allows me a happy place to be to soothe those times when life happens.
Having a plan and setting goals are a good guide to start you on your way. Bead At Home has been around since 2002 but Beading Jewelry 101 blossomed out of life's trials I was personally dealing with in 2013 and it really came to life for me this past year.
2015 was an important year for BJ101 and it's Y-O-U that continues to give this life for me, gives me purpose and a reason to continue on. That's why you are so very important to me. I love my family and enjoy my mommy time so very much but as kids have gotten older and need mom less sharing my beading passion with you, teaching you new things, encouraging you to move forward with your beading dreams soothes that transition.
Planning goals aren't intended to keep you aware of what you don’t get done but rather to keep you moving forward to accomplish more rather than less.
I’ve heard said…’We don’t plan to fail, we just fail to plan’.
Goals are that road map for you to follow. Goals are your compass, providing some direction so you aren’t wandering aimlessly and then wondering where the time went.
No, goals are the visual game plan so you can move forward with intention and they are your motivator to build onto.
I'll share a little insider secret with you...Even with how important 2015 was to Bead At Home, our move back in September set us back.
Since we are a family business, the business of family took up a lot of time. But that is why I do what I do...to be available to my family. But it took more than expected to get back on track.
Actually, some things didn't make it back on track and threw us on a little different path. I'll share more on that in the coming days as I spend time reflecting of where we fell short and continue planning on moving ahead in 2016
You have helped with that direction by participating in the site survey. I've collected the information that has come in and have been studying what you have shared with me. That has set some projects into motion. I share more on that below.
We here at Bead At Home want to hear what 2016 holds for you and where you want to take your new knowledge of making beaded jewelry.
Where you are today is not where you will be next year this time, let’s hear your hopes, plans, dreams and goals for 2016.
