CLUB MANAGER

It is indeed my pleasure to announce Benn McDonald as our Club Manager.
 
Benn has now started with the club in his role. He will be responsible for (but not limited to):
-          the general management of day to day operations
-          implementing and maintaining governance, policies and procedures
-          business system setup and maintenance
-          volunteer management
-          formulation, implementation and maintenance of various key programmes to aid recruitment and retainment
-          sponsorship, funding and investment programmes
-          management of membership
-          key projects and tasks as designated by the board from time to time
 
 As a Board, every director was 100% behind this initiative. It is, in the history of our Club, the first full-time appointment and we will see a productive impact.
 
We welcome Benn into his role.

VICE PRESIDENT

At the most recent board meeting Sam Phillipou was ratified as Vice President of the club for the current term ending at 2016 AGM. Sam Phillipou is a current board member and brings with him a wealth of business skills and knowledge as well as an understanding of elite sporting environments.
 

ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE

Each board member has been assigned roles at the most recent board meeting. This is reflective of the sub-committee and organisational structure of the club.
 
The board as a whole will oversee the Club Manager and the sub-committee structures of the club.
Each board member has been assigned a portfolio (sub-committee) to oversee. Below is a list of those assignments.
 
Laura Troia (Treasurer) and Celine Luya (Secretary)  - Finance and Administration
Scott Pryor  - Junior Operations
Adam Murphy  - Senior Operations
Kym Clark  - Floating role between Junior and Senior Operations
Jodie Barratt  - Sales, Marketing and Events
 
With Craig Gilbert as President and Sam Phillipou as Vice President.
 
This structure will allow the board members to manage the club, formulate and implement strategic plans in an organised fashion.

Woodville District Basketball Club Inc. will be sending out regular e-newsletters as required but the aim is once a fortnight.

ST CLAIR RECREATION CENTRE CEILING:

At this stage we have been notified that the ceiling replacement project will be completed on Friday 5th of June and the centre will return to normal programming and function. Until then, there is limited interruption to bookings in the centre which will be dealt with as the need arises. Today court 1, 2 and 4 are usable and it looks as though this may be the case until the 5th of June. St Clair Recreation centre and Woodville Basketball Club thank everyone for their continued patience as this project is completed.

 

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED THIS SATURDAY:

This Saturday 30th of May we have been asked to look after the car parking at the Adelaide Arena for an event and we appreciate the help of any volunteers that can help from 2:30pm to 5pm.
 
This avenue is a vital source of fundraising and can assist our club greatly. We appreciate anyone that is available during this time to assist. Please contact Kym Clark (0402428983) or you can email admin@woodvillewarriors.com.au
