Preparation for upcoming fixtures
Wandsworth Prep's Science Week

This fortnight, pupils in Years 2, 3 and 4 have been busy practising a range of skills, ahead of their netball and football fixtures with Weston Green School (a Bellevue school) and Dolphin School. In addition to watching professional athletes taking part in these sports, pupils have been learning to pass, shoot, pivot, strike, dribble, intercept and tackle. Click here to watch a video of the preparation in action.
This week, pupils have enjoyed a fun-filled Science Week, where they have had the opportunity to explore many hidden aspects of science in our world.  The children were set the question, 'Why do we need to wash our hands?'. Thanks to two of our parents, the children became bacterial scientists and investigated the bacteria on their hands after playing outside.

Cake sale raises over £200 for UNICEF
Year 2 trip to Tate Modern

On Friday 23rd October, the PTA at Wandsworth Prep organised a highly successful cake sale to raise funds for the school's chosen charity, UNICEF. The cakes on display would have made Mary Berry proud. The total amount raised from the cake sale was £226.71. A big thank you to the PTA for organising the event.

Year 2 recently enjoyed a trip to the Tate Modern, which provided a great opportunity for pupils to compare the style of art with the art seen during the recent Dulwich Art Gallery visit. Pupils became the art for a short while, as they were tapped together and had to move around the gallery space. Click here to watch a short video of the trip.
