Video: How Pupils use a Growth Mindset in their Learning
Meet our Head of Lower School, Carla Ritchie

At Wandsworth Prep, we want every pupil in our care to be a successful learner. Most importantly, we recognise that instilling positive attitudes towards learning will ensure pupils progress and reach their potential. Consequently, a key concept which shapes the ethos of our school is Growth Mindset, based on the work of Carol Dweck.

Watch a short video of pupils providing examples of how they have used a Growth Mindset in their learning.

We are delighted to announce that Carla Ritchie will be joining the team from September 2017, taking on the newly formed role of Head of Lower School.

With a wealth of experience in both the state and independent sectors, combined with her passion for quality teaching, we are thrilled to have Carla on board. Carla is looking forward to meeting parents in the Summer Term. In the meantime, parents can learn more about Carla by reading our short Q+A.

Video: Key Stage 2 take part in Voices in a Million

In their PE lessons, Key Stage 1 pupils have enjoyed hockey practice, learning basic skills of dribbling, passing, shooting and then moving on to applying these skills when playing small matches.

Watch our short video.

Key Stage 2 were lucky enough to be part of a 6000-strong choir at Wembley Arena on Thursday 9th March when they performed in ‘Voices in a Million’.This pop concert was full to the brim with children either performing as part of the massed 6000-strong choir, or as soloists showcasing their individual talent on the main stage. Miss Hephzibah did a fabulous job of teaching our children over 14 songs with a complicated array of actions and dance moves.
