Years 3 and 4 have been commissioned to inspire children and teachers to understand and develop a passion for Shakespeare and his plays. In order for Year 3 and 4 pupils to gain an understanding of him and his work, pupils have decided to put on a production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

This term, Year 1 and 2 are very excited to be working together on their enquiry-led summer term project. As part of the project, Year 1 and 2 recently discussed, Is art Important? The pupils had to decide "yes" or "no" and give reasons for their choice. Our catering company, The Brookwood Partnership, support us in educating our pupils about food. This includes everything from developing an understanding of where food comes from and the different types of food eaten around the world, to encouraging pupils to try foods they have not tasted before and making pupils aware of what is contained within the food they eat.

This week, Adel, our School Chef, set up a tasting table to provide an opportunity for pupils to sample a range of food items containing protein.

Welcome to another great term of sport! So far this term the pupils have enjoyed learning how to play cricket, including a day trip to Eveline Day School for a Cricket Afternoon for Years 1 and 2.

During the afternoon, pupils played a game called "4 Stumps" involving four batters who have to bat and then run to the next wicket (the wickets are set up in a square).
