Head's Blog:
Monolingualism Can Be Cured

In the UK, at least, debate surrounding ‘an early start' has existed for more than thirty years, with some stating that teaching foreign languages to children as young as four was futile. The danger of such an attitude is reflected in the results of a European Survey on Language Competences, undertaken in 2011...

Next Open Morning

09:30 - 11:30

If you have any friends who are interested in WPS, they are welcome to attend our next Open Morning.
Reception's Forest School Island
VIDEO: Netball and Gymnastics

In our classroom, an Island has appeared. On this Island many things live and grow and we have been using our detective skills to listen and look at the many peculiar things that have been happening. We also know we have to care for and protect these things. Luckily we have Forest School to help us learn these skills, as we are planning a trip to the island in the near future.

Children across the entire school have been developing their own dance sequences based around their topic stories. We have been learning about the different elements of dance - travel patterns, energy, levels and shapes, and what they have come up with so far has been wonderful! We aim to present these at our end of term topic exhibitions.

Year 1:
Project So Far
A Recipe from Our School Kitchen

Year 1's project this term focuses in particular on Science and improving the quality of children's writing. The children received a letter from the Prime Minister of Indonesia, asking that they investigate some strange sightings on a very remote island called Palu Nati.

We adore our school lunches here at Wandsworth, and we thought we would share some of our favourite recipes with you so that you can enjoy these delicious meals, straight from our School kitchen.
