WPS Rugby World Cup
Enquiry-led Curriculum in Practice

Wow, what a fantastic term of skill and game-based learning! We have all loved learning the rules and skills of tag rugby and putting these into practice at the WPS Rugby World Cup!

Children represented six countries: Wales, England, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Scotland. They loved marching around the different stations with their team leaders and flags and had fun playing two games each against different countries.

Year 3 and 4 are so excited about Monday 7th December at 6pm.  This is when The Great Exhibition – The Enduring Eye of Antarctica- will be opening for one night only!

This is the culmination of our study of Antarctica, Shackleton and creation of our company I.R.T (International Rescue Team). Back in September, the children received a film showing them some stranded National Geographic scientists, floating off on an ice flow to their certain deaths.  We found posters around the playground asking people to apply for the role as rescue team.

Year 2's London Workshop
Reception's Presentation to Parents

This term, Year 2 have worked hard to become London Experts. This has included learning about the history of the city.

To showcase what they have learnt, on Wednesday 2nd December, Year 2 held a London Workshop for their parents which included a debate on whether Guy Fawkes Night should be banned and a London Landmarks Colouring Competition.

Reception recently enjoyed sharing their knowledge of the world to their parents.

Based on the book, Zog, which is about a character from another planet who cannot read or write and doesn't know anything about planet Earth, Reception recently took on the role of Earthling Helpers to teach Zog about the world and all of its continents.
