Our AGS Secondee, Carla Kovacevic finished her term with us after 4 years of being seconded to CCLSWA. We are thankful to Carla for all the work she has put in at CCLSWA, the solicitors she has assisted, and the clients she has helped advocate for in her time with us. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and thank Australian Government Solicitors for their continued support. She and Sara, another AGS Secondee, wrote about their placement at CCLSWA for the AGS magazine https://goo.gl/Qs9WV6.
We also said a final farewell to Milica Jankovic in December, when Gemma Mitchell our Managing Solicitor moved her admission. Milli started at CCLSWA as a volunteer in 2016. She then went on to do her practical legal training with us via the Piddington Justice Project. She then worked for CCLSWA as a Legal Administrative Assistant for a short period, before securing her dream job at ASIC. We wish Milli the best and thank her for her very valued contribution.
The Staff and Management Committee team all met on Saturday 2 December at Coode Street Cafe in Mount Lawley to workshop our plans for the next three years. Thanks to Karyn Lisignoli for facilitating the day. We are excited to share the results soon.
After the holidays many of us are facing the dreaded credit card bills! Even if you are just one day late in making a repayment on your credit card debt, you are in default. Your lender may send you a default notice. Our Default Notices Fact Sheet will tell you what action to take if you receive one. If you do nothing, your debt will continue to increase as it accrues interest. It is therefore important to address the problem as soon as possible. for advice on how to deal with the debts you can watch a handy video and find further information about Credit Cards on our website.
