National School of Excellence!

Northwoods PTA has been recognized as a National PTA School of Excellence. This is a great honor that only 8 North Carolina schools received. This program supports and celebrates partnerships between PTA's and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students.
Spirit Night Success!

Our first spirit night of the 2015-16 school year was a great success! Thank you to everyone that came out to Chipotle and/or YoLo to support Northwoods. Thanks to your support we made just under $1000 that evening. It is successful fundraising like this that allows us to provide ALL Northwoods students with wonderful programs and events.

Disney World Raffle Winner!

Congratulations! The Northwoods PTA has held the Membership raffle drawing and the winner has been notified. Due to super secret planning for the family, we will withhold the name of the winner so as not to spoil the surprise for the children. However, the winner has two children at Northwoods and they will be going on a family vacation at Disney World very soon!
Internet Safety Night

Northwoods PTA welcomed Nimasheena N. Burns, an Outreach Specialist from the North Carolina Department of Justice, at our free parent workshop. She spoke about the dangers of unwanted exposure to Illicit or explicit material, solicitation, and harassment/cyberbullying. She also gave tips on how to develop family rules to protect against these online risks.

We also welcomed parents from Reedy Creek Elementary, Kingswood Elementary, Washington GT Magnet Elementary, Cary High School, Davis Drive Elementary, and Cardinal Charter School. As well as representatives from North Carolina PTA and students from Meredith College studying Early Childhood Education.
