Gwartney's in Uganda

Merry Christmas from the Gwartneys!

Left to Right: Megan (15), Titus (12), Amy, Mark, Rebecca (19) and Caralina (17). Notice that Amy, Megan and Caralina are all on the same line on the brick wall. Rebecca is a GSF girl who moved in with us last year.  She has become part of our family in so many ways.  We are grateful that she is with us during this school break.

Christmas Celebrations

Mark and the administrative team joining the festivities at the staff Christmas party
GSF hosts lots of Christmas parties: for GSF staff, Mercy Ministry celebration, a party with the kids before they go for family visits and Christmas day with the kids who stay here.  To see pictures and more about our celebrations, check out Caralina's blog.

Christmas Eve, we will sing Christmas carols with the kids, tell the Christmas story and give stockings to the 40 children who stayed here.

Christmas Day we will have our own family time, then celebrate with the missionaries, then share a special meal and gifts with the GSF kids and staff who remain here, then go to our church in the village.
Global Outreach does not charge administrative fees.  100% of your donation goes to the designated ministry!

Holidays for the kids

Tony, one of our kids, getting a stocking full of goodies and supplies to take to his home for the holiday.
The kids here at GSF come from tough situations or they would not be here.  We are so grateful when family members are found or equipped so that the children are able to eventually return "home". Part of this process is holiday visits. The children gradually work up from going for a day visit to being able to stay with family for the whole school holiday break.

It is quiet at GSF right now, because many children were able to go visit their families for a few days or weeks.  Please pray for those who stay here that they will feel God's love and acceptance through those of us here. Please pray for safety and protection for our children who are away and for bonding with their families.
