Light of the World Church Baptisms
Our church in the village organized a baptism on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago. Each candidate went through counseling and a class to explain the meaning of baptism. Acts 8:36-37 summarizes the story of an Ethiopian man who eventually asked, "What prevents me from being baptized?" Philip, having already explained Jesus to this man, answered, "If you believe with all your heart, you may!" We were overjoyed to watch 11 people from the village and 11 children from GSF all profess their faith in Christ through baptism. One incredible bonus was that several of us had the opportunity to talk one-on-one with some of our kids and lead them to salvation in the week leading up to the baptism.
