Greetings from the Carolina Horse Park!
In September we waved goodbye to a particularly hot summer and welcomed in the fall with a series exciting events at the Park. In addition to hosting the Five Points Horse Trials, Carolina Horse Park Derby Cross, and the Timberland HDT, we are getting ready to launch the “Get Involved Campaign” and completed the ground work on a new complex on the cross country course!
Special Message from the Executive Director
It is such a pleasure to hear all your positive feedback on the state of the Park and all the improvements – we have listened carefully to your suggestions and brought many to fruition…

Now we need your support to continue the good work!  Starting this year we have added all our loyal Competitors to the Park’s Annual Appeal!  The mailing went out last week and you should be getting your letter in the mail any day! We are depending on your generous support to keep maintaining and improving the Park at the level you have come to expect and enjoy.  There are many options for giving described in the Annual Appeal Brochure and no donation is too small!
Get Involved Campaign Launches in October
The Park is pleased to announce the launch of the “Get Involved Campaign.” This initiative will focus on the many different ways people can become involved with the CHP. The focus of the multi-pronged campaign will be donating, volunteering, sponsorships, and sustaining patrons.
The aim of the “Get Involved Campaign,” which officially begins at the October WHES and concludes at the November WHES Championship appreciation lunch, is to raise funds for a variety of improvements to the Park and to contribute to the General Fund.
Throughout the campaign, Park staff members will be educating CHP patrons about volunteer grants, sponsorship opportunities, as well as the “Join the Stampede” social media outreach, and how to use social media to build excitement for the campaign and to educate others about the Park.
Look for more information about the campaign at the “Get Involved” tent at the October WHES.
Groundwork and Seeding Complete on New Hollow Complex

We are very excited to announce that the cross country course has experienced a further upgrade with the completion of groundwork and seeding on the new Hollow Complex. Everyone at the Park would like to thank NC Hydroseeding and Pennington Seed for their generous donation of product and labor. Additionally, we recognize master cross country builders Tyson Rementer and Levi Ryckewaert for once again constructing a world class complex at the CHP.

Thanks again to NC Hydroseeding, Pennington Seed, Tyson, and Levi!

Volunteer Appreciation and Feedback
Without our wonderful group of volunteers, we would not be able to host many of the competitions we run each year. From ring stewarding, jump judging, scribing and hospitality work, our volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the competitions run smoothly and safely.

As much as we appreciate our volunteers, they too enjoy their time at the Park, often giving feedback such as “Loved watching everyone!” “Had a great first experience and looking forward to coming out again.” “Thanks for making us feel so appreciated.”

We are always looking to make the volunteer experience at the Park the best possible and welcome feedback from everyone that visits the CHP. We encourage all volunteers to fill out the brief survey either at the Park or online here.
