Greetings from the Carolina Horse Park!
As the weather gets warmer, we're proud to have had an incredible Spring season! A big thanks to volunteers, patrons, owners, and competitors that made The Longleaf Pine Horse Trials and Prime Time Dressage Show such huge successes.
THANK YOU TO OUR MANY SUPPORTERS AND VOLUNTEERS!
As we look back on another great season at the Carolina Horse Park, we'd like to express a very special thank you to all of our fantastic volunteers and supporters who helped make the 2014 and 2015 seasons unforgettable!
"Our Volunteers are AMAZING - thank you, thank you for your tireless hours supporting all the events and committees at the Park – through your gift of time and talent, we are able to produce these great events for all to come, learn, compete, advance and enjoy…"

SOUTHERN PINES CDE ROUNDUP
In April, the Park once again held three great days of driving competition at the Southern Pines CDE. Between hosting the National Intermediate Championships and adding a Training level to the event; several new faces were welcomed as loyal competitors enjoyed a terrific weekend of sport!
"It's amazing to see the transformation at the Carolina Horse Park, " said Event Organizer, Kelly Valdes, "from having hundreds of tents and roping for race day to the small amount needed for the [Southern Pines] driving event. I always wonder if it will all get done in time but it always does! The driving event competitors always leave wanting more, saying that the Southern Pines Combined Driving Event is one of the best shows on the East Coast. They will for sure be back next year!"

$10,000 WAR HORSE EVENT SERIES

Sponsored by Southern Pines Equine Associates and Adequan

First Competition: May 9-10

Marc Donovan, the organizer of the series: "The purpose of this format is to encourage the idea of preparing the horse for the show. We want every horse and rider to have a positive experience, and we feel this arrangement will provide all competitors with the opportunity to achieve the best results possible. We are committed to helping riders in our eventing community further their education, build strong foundations, and train young horses."
>> Schooling Levels
Each Sunday competition will be preceded by a Saturday schooling day. Riders have the option of schooling dressage, cross country, show jumping, or all three phases.
