Change is constant and very difficult at times…this is one of those difficult times…
Pat Gibson is resigning as CHP Volunteer Coordinator. This was a very difficult decision for her but very important so she can have the time to spend with family and direct more attention to her aging parents.
A special message from Pat: “During my time at the park, I met and became friends with some of the best people I know. I received tremendous support and gratitude which meant so much to me. I am proud of all the volunteers and how they pull together as a team. Thank you all for your support and dedication to the park and keep up the good work!”
As a former Volunteer – I personally know how much she has meant to all of us and how much we will miss her…
All of our Competitors, Officials, Friends of the Park and the CHP Staff will miss her in so many ways and thank her sincerely for the six amazing years she volunteered her time to make sure all went like clockwork – Pat you truly are the best!
So let’s keep Pat in our thoughts and prayers as she tends to her family…
Thankfully Miriam Terry has agreed to take the reins as the new Volunteer Coordinator and Pat has been working with Miriam Terry to help her in the transition.
Miriam is a local rider, competitor, and volunteer who looks forward to helping the park continue to host excellent events in 2015. She has a background in pony club, dressage, eventing, and foxhunting, and she currently competes and trains here in the Southern Pines area.
Please join me in welcoming Miriam in her new role…we are thankful she has agreed to take on a very important position and with Pat’s guidance she will do an outstanding job!
