September 2015

Dear <<First Name>>,

Just as the first tentative buds push their way out under deep grey skies, there is a strange phenomenon occurring – large flocks of previously flightless Kiwis are preparing to head to the northern autumn.

Confused? This four-yearly migratory pattern is connected to the Rugby World Cup, this year held in England and Wales. If you’re one of the many Active Gourmet Travel clients joining the drift north, have a magnificent time and keep smiling to the very end!

Between matches, the intrepid supporters are going to places as diverse as Palermo, Paris, Positano, Prague, Pordenone, Valencia, Killarney, Rome, Salzburg and more! They are all armed with their detailed itineraries tailored by The Active Gourmet Travel over the last few months.

If you’re not on the cup journey, but keen to do some migrating yourself – take a look at these tempters...

Big year for us could mean a bigger one for you!

The range of destinations available to you continues to expand. Top itineraries in 2015 include a food tour in a yacht off the Amalfi Coast and hiring a boat for a full day’s tour around the secret grottoes of Capri.

We’ve had great feedback for these tours:

“We had high expectations for this holiday and delighted to say they were exceeded.” – Hugh & Sonia, Christchurch.

“Having a wonderful time Gail! Thank you, thank you, thank you.” – Heather & Rob, Sydney.

“Nice that you thought of everybody in our group and covered us all.” – Tiffiney, Chris & Jack, Hamilton.

“I think you went beyond the call of duty. Thanks for a brilliant time.” – Taupo traveller.

2016: You choose – we’ll sort it all for you!

In April 2016, our popular escorted Cook’s Tour series goes to Sicily. Heading to Italy in April will allow you to make the most of the fantastic spring flowers, and avoid the heat and tourists (we are seasoned travellers, remember!) As well as food and wine, there'll be options for walking, boating and volcano climbing.

At the end of May, it's back to where it all began for The Active Gourmet Travel, with the Essential Loire escorted cycle tour. The ever-present support van means this journey is suitable for cyclists of all abilities, even for people who detest biking!

Mid-September sees us on the Northern Provence – the Vaucluse escorted cycle tour. Similar style to the Loire: cycle as much, or as little, as you like in this stunning countryside.

Hubert calling Bordeaux soon, don't miss out!

Hubert the hippo is about to order another shipment of wine from his friends in Bordeaux, so let him know if there's anything you want him to include for you.

Otherwise, look out for Hubert’s wine newsletter in November so you can stock up for summer and the festive season.

Salut!

Gail, Hubert & the team
