From the BHS Headmaster

Dear Brookline High School Parents and Guardians,

Given our run of snow days – past and potentially future - I would like to remind everyone that we still offer learning and teaching at 115 Greenough Street. I hope the last couple days without classes have given our students an opportunity to catch up on work, rest, rejuvenate and shovel.

Snow days spur me to remind everyone that our school calendar gets pushed a little longer with each school cancelation. This means that Monday 6/19 is no longer the last day of school; presently, Wednesday the 21st is. It is important that we all keep this in mind as we plan for summer.

If you are new to final exam scheduling at BHS, please know that our last day of school is preceded by two days of final exams and one make-up exam day. If we have no more snow days this year, our schedule would look like this:

            Friday 6/16 - Final Exams

            Monday 6/19 – Final Exams

            Tuesday 6/20 – Exam Make-up Day

Wednesday 6/21 – Last Day of School

I say all this to be explicit about scheduling and our expectation that students take their final exams as scheduled. Please note we will continue to push forward the final day of school – and this end of the year schedule along with it – as we accumulate snow and corresponding snow days/daze.

Yours in shoveling and re-scheduling,

Anthony Meyer
