PEER LEADERS URGE STUDENT TO "ADDRESS THE STRESS."

BHS Peer Leaders’ Instagram is helping promote a new campaign to “address the stress,” tagging posts that urge students to take a breath and figure out ways they can deal with anxiety and pressure in healthy ways. Check it out! They will also be creating posts for BHS’s upcoming “Day of Change” May 14, helping raise awareness and change social norms around sexual harassment and assault.

SEEKING CO-LEADERS FOR PTO'S COLLEGE ESSAY WORKSHOP

The College Essay Workshop is an annual event that helps BHS seniors complete a critical part of the college application process. The event is a collaboration between the PTO and BHS English teachers. Parents manage the event logistics and also serve as classroom assistants for the teachers. The Workshop is now in its 18th year, and happens each year on a Saturday morning in late September.

We are seeking a leader or co-leaders for the Workshop’s parent organizing committee. The leader ensures that the committee covers the key roles needed to produce the event. The bulk of the planning happens between mid-August and September. Past planning committees have set up a well-defined process, so new leaders won’t have to re-invent the wheel.

If you are interested in taking on this incredible event, please contact Julie Koo at jskoo@panix.com.

SEEKING CO-EDITORS FOR WEEKLY BLAST. OPEN POSITIONS ON THE BHS PTO EXECUTIVE BOARD

Please reach out to copresidents.bhs.pto@gmail.com with any questions or to let us know you're interested.

Join BCF for a night of student and scholarship champion reflections, raffles, interactive quizzes, and a special Q&A session with Paul Reville and Julie Joyal who will share more about the shifting educational landscape.
