VIRTUAL SCREENING OF "MEMOIRS OF A BLACK GIRL"
Tomorrow, Mon. May 10th at 6pm, the film, "Memoirs of a Black Girl," created by BHS teacher, Thato Mwosa, will be screened as part of BHS's annual "Asking for Courage." On this day, programming is dedicated to community conversations and lessons on race and racism. Due to the nature of the film, it is most appropriate for those 14 and up. We hope some families will be able to join this courageous conversation event.
After the film we will have a panel with Thato and several actors from the film- some of whom are BHS grads!
Students will be sent the link to the zoom via Canvas and it is below:

PEER LEADERS URGE STUDENT TO "ADDRESS THE STRESS."
BHS Peer Leaders’ Instagram is helping promote a new campaign to “address the stress,” tagging posts that urge students to take a breath and figure out ways they can deal with anxiety and pressure in healthy ways. Check it out! They will also be creating posts for BHS’s upcoming “Day of Change” May 14, helping raise awareness and change social norms around sexual harassment and assault.
