From the BHS Headmaster

Dear BHS Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back to school in 2017. Students, faculty, and staff return to 115 Greenough Street tomorrow for more learning, teaching, and being in community. We have just three weeks before our midyear examinations, another relative pause in our year together when we gauge where our students are in their growth and learning.

January is a busy month. in addition to midyears, we celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior during our MLK Assembly. We also kick off our Brookline renovation process during an evening event at BHS next week. Consider yourself invited once you read the description below.

Hope to see you next Thursday if not before,

Anthony

Over the past two years, the Public Schools of Brookline has hosted a series of public meetings regarding the expansion vision and needs of Brookline High School. The next update will be a presentation and Q&A on January 12th from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theater at BHS.

This meeting will summarize work to date on the BHS expansion vision and needs with respect to education decisions and planning. (Future meetings in February and March will focus on issues being addressed by the newly-launched BHS Building Committee, such as land use, building use, traffic, parking, and other capital planning items). At this meeting, parents and community members will have a chance to ask questions and share their ideas on the educational planning process.
