All About the Haiku
Looking for a new way to get creative? No matter what genre you prefer, Haiku offers writers a new way to think about creativity. Join us this Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m. online when PWC Poet Laureate and award-winning Haikuist Kim B. Miller will teach us about the many forms of Haiku and inspire us to use the form as a launch for our own writing!
Kim is an inspirational, award-winning poet who has performed nationally and internationally, making an impact wherever she goes. Her presentations are interactive, and you'll come away with material and ideas to use in your work. Don't miss it!

And the New Tagline Is...
Congratulations to Maryel Stone who won our tagline contest! WbtR members posted their ideas in our Facebook group and submitted through email and came up with some great options. Maryel suggested "Get Your Writing On Track" and earned the most likes. We love it! Thank you to all who participated, and thanks to all our members who keep WbtR the vibrant group it is!
Are You Getting the Most From Your Membership?
Are you taking advantage of all WbtR has to offer? Write by the Rails has become a recognized community institution and is gaining greater attention each year! We not only have some well-known authors and Poets Laureate in our membership, we also have writers who have won many awards and honors in contests throughout the year. It's both fun and educational to attend the events our members and guests facilitate, as well as to network with them.
We encourage (and often accompany) each other in performing at venues where we can read our works for live audiences. In addition, we have created opportunities for EVERYONE to have some of their writing published in our anthologies, and we announce opportunities available through other organizations. These projects are open to all members, regardless of experience.
New folks have brought new ideas for upcoming events, and we're flourishing! Join or rejoin for only $20 per calendar year!
