New Resources to Utilize!

The leading organization for pediatricians, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP),  has created a new website to help those providers educate parents about the importance of oral health.

We wanted to make sure you were aware of these wonderful new resources that were posted to the Early Childhood Knowledge and Learning Center (ECKLC). These video modules are designed to help child care consults learn how successful consultation strategies can help address children’s oral health.

Think your Children or Grandchildren are Superstars?
We can help you make them FAMOUS!

TxOHC is in need of updated images for our perinatal brochure.  In this pdf, you may see the types of images we are looking for.  We need specific images demonstrating good and bad health habits, such as wiping your baby's gums after feeding, or a parent cleaning a pacifier in their mouth.

If you are able to send an image, please complete this model release form and send both to Beth Stewart at B.Stewart@txohc.org as soon as possible.

Join the Oral Health Network

The Oral Health 2020 Network is putting the power for change back in the hands of people who share the same set of beliefs about every person's right to a healthy life.

Over the last decade a national movement to improve oral and overall health and well-being has emerged from a nationwide conversation that included policymakers, providers, public health activists, and grassroots organizers. Together, we have defined a set of goals with specific and measurable targets to hit by the year 2020, and they are guiding the work of the movement.

Network members stay personally and virtually connected through a system of continuous communication, which includes the use of a collaborative platform (Socious), in-person and virtual convenings at the local, state, regional, and national levels, and other frequent interactions to build and strengthen authentic relationships.

Join the diverse network of individuals and organizations at the local, state, and national level to ensure policy, financing, care, and community are aligned to promote oral health as an essential part of overall health and wellbeing.
Here’s how:
  • Connect with a network member in your community or state
  • Register for our virtual community at oralhealthnetwork.org
  • Join us at our next meeting
The diversity of experiences, knowledge and skills of network members, coupled with a shared vision and purpose, create the opportunity for greater collective impact. Only by working together in this way can we shape a world that gives all of us an equal opportunity to be healthy.
