Climate Event in Tring
Climate Event is for and by the people of Tring
Coming soon, this Tring event will be packed with stalls, talks and demonstrations on how you can help mitigate Climate Change and biodiversity collapse. It is being run jointly by Tring Town Council, Tring in Transition, Green Tring, Extinction Rebellion This is your chance:
to share what is already being done by people in Tring and villages
to discover new ideas you could try
to promote your green credentials as a local business or organisation
Interested? If so, please get in touch, to find out how to be included at the Event.
Email your name and interest to barrekazer@gmail.com
The Event needs all projects, however big or small, here are a few examples. There are many more. Do you want to plant more trees? Does your workplace/business promote non-plastic items? Are you rewilding your own lawn or part of community area such as school grounds, sports grounds, churchyards? Do you car share or would like to? Are you interested in Solar panels, an electric car/bike? Do you know any reduce/recycle schemes, in schools, churches, community halls? Do you like street parties? Do you fancy a go at guerrilla gardening?
2nd –6th September is Zero Carbon week.
Read about this and check out for any ideas you are not already doing at https://www.zerowasteweek.co.uk/about/
The case study about the Gloucester family is worth a look.
How much would you like to see a community bus for Tring and villages e.g. station to Tring at weekends, helping the villages etc?
If the answer is “a lot” could you spare a bit of time to join the one person who has volunteered for this project – that one volunteer works full time, is committed, but cannot do it all himself.
Please contact Brian at briankazer@hotmail.com if you are willing to help explore the feasibility of the idea.
Thanks!
and coming very soon
