DUT SIGNS HISTORIC AGREEMENT TO STRENGTHEN TIES WITH FRANCE
The Durban University of Technology (DUT) continues to strengthen cooperation with strategic international partners, as DUT signed an MoU with the French Embassy in South Africa at the Steve Biko Campus on Tuesday, 05 June 2018.
The two-year MoU, which is the first of its kind in South Africa, was officially signed by the Ambassador of France to South Africa, H.E. Mr. Christophe Farnaud and DUT Vice-Chancellor and Principal Professor Thandwa Mthembu.
DUT CI STUDENTS SHOWCASE THEIR TALENT AT THE CHINESE BRIDGE CHINESE PROFICIENCY COMPETITION
The 17th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students and the “China Construction Bank” Cup Final Competition in South Africa was successfully held at the Rhodes University in Port Elizabeth on 26 May 2018.
The Chinese Bridge Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students has been held for more than 10 years since 2002. This competition is a platform for Chinese learners of all ages to exchange and showcase their achievements in leaning mandarin.
DUT APPOINTS MALUSI MHLONGO AS ACTING PROTECTION SERVICES MANAGER
The Durban University of Technology (DUT) has appointed Malusi Mhlongo as the Acting Protection Services Manager. Mhlongo’s temporary appointment became effective as of Wednesday, 6 June 2018.
Mhlongo has been an employee of DUT’s Protection Services unit since 2010, serving at the unit as a Protection Services officer. It is not the first time that Mhlongo has acted as Manager in this unit.
NDWALANE TAKES HIS ‘BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS’ TO NATIONAL LEVEL
Drumming ahead with his innovative, portable Bluetooth speakers called Turn-Up, is Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) alumni, Siyabonga Innocent Ndwalane.
The Turn-Up Speaker, founded by Ndwalane, is a youth owned Bluetooth speaker and sound bar manufacturing company. His speakers have Aux, FM Radio, USB Port, Bluetooth connectivity and are perfect for outdoor gym sessions and as a home sound device.
