CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF ARCHIE GUMEDE


In celebrating the life of Archie Gumede – the late anti-apartheid activist – the Archie Gumede Foundation in partnership with the Durban University of Technology will host the inaugural Archie Gumede Memorial Lecture on Thursday, 3 March 2016, at the Ritson Exam Hall, DUT Ritson Campus, Durban.

Dr Zweli Mkhize, ANC Treasurer-General, will deliver the keynote address at the event.

TWO DUT STAFF AWARDED DBA (HEM) SCHOLARSHIPS


Two DUT staff members are ecstatic about each being awarded the prestigious scholarship to study the Doctor of Business Administration in Higher Education Management, DBA (HEM), at the University of Bath in the United Kingdom.

The Future Leaders Initiative (FLI), a partnership between the SA Department of Higher Education and Training, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) and the University of Bath, was launched in 2015.

In celebrating its successes and growth, the Durban University of Technology’s HIV/AIDS Centre has called for unity in the fight against HIV/AIDS and gender diversity issues.

STUDYING IN EUROPE MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH EUROSA

Opportunities to study abroad and gain international training and research are made possible through programmes such as EUROSA.

Representatives from the University of Antwerp in Belgium were in attendance to brief both DUT staff and students on what is on offer for Master’s, doctoral and post-doctoral researchers at a workshop recently held at DUT.
