CELT’S PROF NGWENYA APPOINTED TO THE (NSRC) OF THE COUNCIL ON HIGHER EDUCATION
“I am humbled by this unexpected nomination to serve on one of the key committees of the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and look forward to being of service to the South African higher education sector as a whole,” said an elated Professor Thengani Ngwenya.
Professor Ngwenya is an Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), he has just been appointed to the National Standards and Reviews Committee (NSRC) of the Council on Higher Education.
DUT’S INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE STUDENTS ORIENTATION, A GREAT SUCCESS
The International Education and Partnerships (IEP) Directorate at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) held its orientation for the exchange students as part of its annual exchange students programme, held at the Hotel School, Ritson Campus, on 31 January 2020.
The exchange programme provides these students with the opportunity to experience lectures from a different perspective. It also provides students with the opportunity of experiencing the culture of KwaZulu-Natal and South Africa.
MIDLANDS ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTRE AIMS TO IGNITE ENTREPRENEURIAL KNOWLEDGE TO STUDENTS
One of the Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) mission is to excel through external engagement that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship through collaboration and partnership.
Ensuring students understand the culture of building entrepreneurship, DUT has been instrumental in helping and guiding young and emerging entrepreneurs through the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research, Innovation and Engagement (RIE) Entrepreneurial Centre and Desk at the Entrepreneurial Centre and Desk Office based at iNdumiso Campus in Pietermaritzburg.
DUT STUDENT HOUSING&RESIDENCE LIFE INDUCTS RESIDENCE ADVISORS (RA’S)
The Durban University of Technology Department of Student Housing and Residence Life, recently hosted a Residence Life Induction for Residence advisors (RA’S), Student Residence Assistance (SRA’S) and Assistant Residence Advisors (ARA), at St Michaels Sands Hotel in Margate.
