The Durban University of Technology (DUT) scooped top prizes at the annual Enactus South Africa National Competition held in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Founded in the United States in 1975, enactus is an international non-profit organisation that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

Durban University of Technology’s football star, Ongeziwe Dlangisa has begun her count down before her departure on Sunday, 13 August 2017, to represent the University Sport South Africa’s (USSA) national ladies team as their midfielder in Taipei, China.
Dlangisa, a Department of Sport Management Studies first year student was the only one from the University’s ladies football team selected alongside other students from various institutions around South Africa to play midfield defence for the USSA senior team.

Ayanda Mngoma and Mduduzi Phungula were honored for their outstanding work during the 7th Annual KZN Young Achievers Awards at Blue Waters Hotel on Saturday, 5 August 2017.
Mngoma, a third year Drama Production Studies student was named KZN Young Achiever in the Drama and Film Category, whilst, Phungula a first year Journalism student and RadioDUT and Radio Al Ansaar Presenter was named the KZN Best Youth Radio Initiator.
Excitement and anxiety are on the rise for the Mr & Miss DUT competition contestants as the clock draws closer to the final stage of the competition.
The annual DUT modelling competition hosted by the Department of Student Governance and the Student Representative Council (SRC) has changed for the better in 2017. Unlike previous years, the preparations for the 2017 competition consisted of intense stages ahead of the big day on Friday, 11 August 2017.
