The Durban University of Technology recently conferred awards that honored the excellent work of its staff members who are engaging in exciting, visionary projects which relate to and underpin its Strategic Plan 2015-2019: Towards Relevance, Responsiveness and Resilience.
The awards were held at the DUT Hotel School, Ritson Campus, and coincided with the farewell dinner of Professor Ahmed Bawa, DUT Vice-Chancellor and Principal.
DUT HONOURS AHMED KATHRADA WITH HONOURARY DOCTORATE
Liberation struggle veteran, human rights activist and struggle icon, Ahmed Kathrada, will be awarded an Honourary Doctorate in Arts and Design by the Durban University of Technology on Friday, 22 April 2016 at 14h00.
The Honourary Doctor of Philosophy degree will be awarded to Kathrada in recognition of his outstanding contribution towards South African human rights and social justice.
