PROF MTHEMBU ENGAGES THE DUT COMMUNITY ON THE NEW STRAT PLAN
DUT staff were given the opportunity to engage with the Vice-Chancellor and Principal Professor Thandwa Mthembu on staff input regarding the development of the new Strategic Plan, at the Ritson Campus Hall, on Wednesday, 20 February 2019.
Speaking on the future of DUT, Prof Mthembu spoke on the background, current status and framework of not only DUT, but the global sphere and its direction towards improving on the existing functioning mechanisms of global developments.
PROF LAZARUS AWARDED THE SANEA AND THE ENERGY GLOBE NATIONAL AWARDS
The Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) Professor Ian Lazarus is a passionate energy driver who is no stranger to winning accolades both nationally and globally, and was recently awarded the SANEA (South African National Energy Award) and the Energy Globe National Award.
He (Prof Lazarus) is the Head of the Energy Technology Station called the KwaZulu-Natal Industrial Energy Efficient Training and Resource Centre at DUT.

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) will be hosting its inaugural State of the University Address, which will be delivered by the University’s Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Thandwa Mthembu on 27 and 28 February 2019 at the Durban and Midlands campuses respectively.
The State of the University Address will review accomplishments of the previous year (2018). It will also focus on the current state of affairs in 2019 and outline the future prospects of the University.
