Making DUT proud by obtaining an entrepreneur ‘dream come true’ opportunity, was DUT’s fourth-year Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics student, Luvo Gugwana, for his business (Green-Arch Innovation) which deals with aquaponics concepts.
HEAD OF LANGUAGES EMPHASIZES THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATING STUDENTS ON GBV
The Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a lecture on the obscurity of the nature of gender-based violence (GBV), with Associate Professor and Head of Languages at the University of Pretoria, Prof Mpume Zondi, on Friday, 04 October 2019, at the Hotel School Conference Centre, Ritson Campus.
In her opening statement, Prof Zondi spoke on gender-based violence and the ways in which it manifests itself.
DUT AND PARTNERS HOST A NEW PRODUCTION ON LIVING WITH THE OCEAN
Empatheatre Production in partnership with the Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) Urban Futures Centre and Rhodes University are hosting a new theatre production called Lalela uLwandle, this month, October 2019.
Lalela uLwandle (Listen to the Sea) is a new production currently touring around coastal towns in KwaZulu-Natal. A formal theatre run at UKZN’s Square Space Theatre will commence from 15 to 19 October 2019.
DR THAKUR IS APPOINTED INSETA RESEARCH CHAIR AT DUT
The Durban University of Technology (DUT) is honoured to announce that the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (InSeta), has signed an agreement to fund a University Research Chair: Digitalisation as well as a Centre of Excellence over the next two years.
DUT is proud to announce the appointment of Dr Surendra Thakur (Colin) as the InSeta Research Chair: Digitalisation.
