PASSION AND FORTITUDE PROPELS DUT ALUMNA TO THE LIST OF 200 TOP YOUNG SOUTH AFRICANS

ALUMNUS PHUNGULA IS ONE OF 200 TRAILBLAZING YOUNG SOUTH AFRICANS
Every year the Mail and Guardian newspaper features interesting 200 young South Africans who have stood out from the pack and who show South Africa what to look forward to in the country’s future.
These under – 35s are talented and have shown themselves to be leaders. The names of the 200 trailblazing young South Africans were announced at the Galleria Conference Centre in Sandton on 27 June 2019.
DUT’S ICON INTRODUCES PEACEBUILDING STUDIES TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN DRC
The International Centre of Nonviolence (ICON) based at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) hosted a five-day workshop at the La Sapientia Université Catholique, Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo from 10 to 14 June 2019.
The main aim of the workshop was for each of the six participating universities to develop a draft strategic plan to introduce postgraduate studies in peacebuilding.
