The Green Campus Initiative (GCI) recently held its second Mr and Miss Green where two students were crowned as the latest ambassadors of the environmental initiative.
The competition was held at the Fred Crookes Sports Centre, Steve Biko Campus. Brian Ndimande was crowned Mr Green while Snethemba Madlala was crowned Miss Green.

In addressing the challenge of youth skills and entrepreneurship development, the Durban University of Technology, together with the Dr Richard Maponya Institute for Skills and Entrepreneurship Development, held the Dr Richard Maponya Provincial Annual Lecture in KwaZulu-Natal at DUT.
ANOTHER AWARD FOR DUT INTERNATIONAL FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER
The Durban University of Technology’s international fashion photographer, designer and lecturer, Nirma Madhoo-Chipps, won the Best Digital Humanities Tool Award at the inaugural National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS) Book, Creative and Digital Awards Ceremony in Johannesburg recently.
Durban University of Technology will be hosting its annual Open Week for high schools students between 18 and 20 May 2016.
All DUT academic departments from the six DUT faculties will participate in the event, giving high school pupils an excellent opportunity to find out more about the DUT programmes that appeal to them.
