The Durban University of Technology’s Human Resources Department hosted a full day Staff Orientation Programme on Friday, 28 September 2018 at DUT’s Hotel School, Conference Centre on the Ritson Campus in Durban.
The aim of this highly informative session was to introduce all new staff members to DUT’s structures, programmes and policies.

“Most violent reduction strategies used by schools that I engaged with for my research, are post-violent strategies and focus on violence control measures rather than educating learners to resolve conflicts non-violently,” this was the assessment of Dr Zithobile Mkhize-Ngidi who was addressing a seminar on school violence on Wednesday, 03 October 2018 at the Durban University of Technology’s ML Sultan Campus.
FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES HOSTS SUICIDE PREVENTION AWARENESS
With suicidal cases related to depression on a rise in South Africa, the Faculty of Health Sciences recently held a Suicide Prevention Awareness campaign at Mansfield Hall as part of the World Suicide Prevention Day.
The awareness began with a silent march from the Open House building to Ritson Campus and was celebrated under the theme “They can’t rescue you if they don’t know you need it.”
