DUT STUDENTS ACE DURBAN JULY YOUNG DESIGNER AWARDSˀ
Seen as a vital stepping-stone for any career in fashion, the Vodacom Durban July Young Designer Award and Vodacom Durban July Fashion Challenge Award, came to a dramatic close with DUT Fashion and Textiles students surging to the top spots of both competitions.
Both competitions are presented by the Durban Fashion Fair.
Dr Don Mkhwanazi, empowerment luminary and DUT Honorary Doctorate recipient, passed away of a massive heart attack last week.
Dr Mkhwanazi, a businessman and pioneer of black economic empowerment (BEE), was honoured, by DUT in 2014, with a Honorary Doctorate in Management Sciences for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of Black Economic Empowerment in South Africa, his prominent role in local and international entrepreneurship as well as his significant commitment to youth and social development.
Love, Life and all in between speaks about General Bongekile Ngcobo’s experiences and lessons learned not only in love, but in life as a whole.
Ngcobo a former Durban University of Technology student, now a Senior Officer at the South African Defence Force will launch her book: Love, Life and all in between at the University on 17 September 2016.
