Art + Science + Games
We have finished creating a series of free education resources to support the eBook release of The Squid, the Vibrio & the Moon. Our Teaching Notes contain: a quiz; Q&A discussion points; Art Activities; and relevant Australian Curriculum links.
Food Web Card Game
We have also finished creating the role-playing card game called Partner-Predator-Prey, where children get to become creatures from the story! We've tested a variety of rule options with year 5/6 students and are delighted to make the game free to download, with Instructions & Printable Cards

Spreading the Word
The Small Friends Book team have started spreading the word - literally - about our books.
On Saturday April 11, book authors Aviva Reed and Gregory Crocetti travelled out to Coolart Wetland Observatory to read our book Zobi and the Zoox, and co-create a large coral bommie drawing to hang on the observatory wall.
Thanks to Deborah Prentice at Parks Victoria and Ranger Sue at Coolart Wetlands for the amazing support in organising and promoting the workshop, and all the great participants, both young and old!

Going Global
Briony and Gregory have been invited to co-chair the Teaching Symbiosis session at the 8th Congress of the International Symbiosis Society in Lisbon, Portugal (July, 2015). This will provide a great opportunity to share some of our Scale Free Network experiences - including the Small Friends books - with a global audience!
We are honoured to be able to share this platform with Prof. Marc-André Selosse (Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Paris) and Dr. Silvana Munzi (Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes, Universidade de Lisboa).
