Wild Dogs from Down Under has been a truly incredible and very special project to coordinate. Initial Discussions began toward the end of 2005 and like wild fire it took off and dominoed into a two year long touring exhibition titled Gippsland. Artists Gary Miles, Leonie Ryan, Eileen Harrison, Jenny Murray-Jones, Laurie Collins and myself collaborated, created and toured (2006 - 2008).
To celebrate our ongoing dedication to the arts and the evolution of our individual practices we reunite where it all began - at the West Gippsland Arts Centre, Warragul.
A wonderful opportunity to catch up with sponsors and supporters of the past - and to acknowledge those who support the current exhibition Then & Now (listed below). Thank you to Gary Blackwood MP, Member for Narracan who will officially open this exhibition on the 16th of August 2019.
Here we all are standing outside the Latrobe Regional Gallery in 2008, celebrating Wild Dogs Unleashed (after China). From left to right, artists Leonie Ryan, Jenny Murray-Jones, Gary Miles, Kerrie Warren, Laurie Collins and Eileen Harrison.
As usual there is quite a bit happening here in the studios - behind the scenes I've been putting together an Art Collective to showcase works in the Affordable Art Fair next month. Stay tuned for another update soon!
