The Melbourne Montessori Foundation continues to develop its’ fundraising capabilities whilst awaiting further details of the next phase of the MMS Master Plan development.
We have applied for several grants on behalf of the school to fund our kitchen gardens at the Brighton and Caulfield Campus and are always on the look out for grant opportunities. If your workplace is committed to supporting Schools or local community groups, please consider Melbourne Montessori School as a worthy recipient. Please contact email@example.com - we are happy to assist with the application process.
Often parents ask, “What does the tax deductible Voluntary Building Fund Levy support?” It is very important as this Levy is the minimum contribution asked of families when the school purchased the Brighton Campus, the adjoining property and buildings in 2014. The Levy contributes to the loan repayments on the Brighton campus.
Our School is forever grateful to the 51% of families that have supported the tax-deductible Building Fund Levy this year and also the past families, who through 40 years of generosity, created the facilities our students and staff enjoy today. Our goal is to achieve 80% of families supporting this Levy.
SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday 28 July, 7pm at the Brighton Campus, to attend an information evening launching an investment opportunity in our School. A formal invitation from MMS Chair, Dean Yates, to follow.

master plan update
Melbourne Montessori School has been buzzing since the start of the year as students and staff enjoy the new facilities and playground spaces at both Campuses. These transitional works form part of the MMS Master Plan, with the intention of supporting the growth of the School over the next three years by:
Utilising the existing facilities and land space at both Campuses for Cycles 1 to 4
Providing classrooms for the growing Senior School and an additional Cycle 3 class in 2017
Providing time to develop the 10-year MMS Master Plan for planning endorsement, design, fundraising and construction.
In March the MMS Board appointed educational building specialists Gallagher Jeffs to Project Manage the planning endorsement of the MMS Master Plan with Glen Eira and Bayside City Councils and the construction of first stage at Brighton Campus.
Gallagher Jeffs are currently working with St. Michael’s Grammar School, Caulfield Grammar, Haileybury, Loreto Mandeville Hall and several other Independent and Public Schools. Tim d’Antoine, a parent at the Brighton Campus and a Director at Gallagher Jeffs, is generously providing his services pro-bono.
Preparations for the planning endorsement are underway and being managed by the MMS Buildings and Grounds Committee, chaired by MMS Board member Diana Tremigliozzi.
