Finals Qualification & Exemptions Please double (and triple) check that all players are eligible prior to taking part in finals - we would hate for a game to be decided based on a misinterpretation of the By-Laws so please contact Emily if unsure.
The following are the main points clubs should be aware of:
A player must have played at least 4 games in a particular team
Players may only play finals in the team they've played the majority of games for (club/player choice if no clear majority e.g. 8 games in each team)
Once a player has played 6 games in a higher division team (in same age group) they can't play in a lower division team
No more than 2 players can moved from higher division (in same age group) to lower division in the next round (so round 15 then finals)
The above should be read in conjunction with the SMJFL By-Laws.
Any exemption requests need to be submitted online by 12pm Thursday 13 August.
Inner Southern Region Coach of the Year Nominations - Reminder A reminder Coach of the Year nominations are due this Friday, 14th August. Further details can be found in Edition 22 of Secretaries' Scoop.
New SMJFL Website We've recently changed website systems which may mean some issues with some of the old links on the website. If you have any problems accessing anything please let Zoe know (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Good news is that once you're logged in to Secretaries' Corner (only need password now) you don't need to keep logging in. I also believe the new website is more user friendly for tablets.
Grand Final Team Lists for Record - Reminder A reminder that Under 14-17 competitions Grand Final Team lists are DUE 10pm Tuesday 18th August. This year please submit one document per club, containing all desired teams in individual named worksheets. Please be clear when naming teams, and documents. Eg South Metro JFC, Under 13 Division 3. Download the template (also in Secretaries' Corner), collate team lists & comments and email one document to Zoe Driver - email@example.com Thank you!

Clubs are asked to send this survey on to committee members, players, coaches and volunteers (can be filled out multiple times per club).
Please note the survey closes on Monday, 17th August.
