Message from the New General Manager
Three days on the job and I’m impressed with how SMJFL operates. I was fortunate enough to see this for myself as I attended my first Lightning Carnival on Sunday at Highett Reserve. I saw some fantastic games and got to meet some of you already.  In due course I look forward to meeting everyone and please feel free to introduce yourselves as I get around to all the clubs.  Wishing all the competing clubs the best during the final series.

Lightning Carnivals
A big thanks to Bentleigh JFC, Highett JFC Port Melbourne JFC &  Prahran JFC for hosting the Lightning Carnivals over the last two weekends. By all accounts the carnivals were a great success, due largely to the work of the mentioned clubs as well as all the teams and clubs involved - thanks again.
