Player Movement - School Holidays
A decision has been made to apply a blanket exemption to the following Player Movement Policy clauses for round 10:
Modified Rules
1.2. Save with the approval of the General Manager (which approval is at the absolute discretion of the General Manager), a player may only play in one game per round in a particular age group.
All Other Competitions (including Under 12 Girls)
2.2 (iii) Subject to these By-Laws, a player may only play in one game per round in a particular age group and may play in no more than two games per round.

Any games played as part of the above exemption will not count towards By-Law 2.2 (i):
Once a player has played a total of six matches in any higher ranked competitions they are unable to play in a lower ranked competition for the remainder of the season (including finals). However, a player must not already be ineligible prior to round 10 based on By Law 2.2 (i).

We understand that there are a number of clubs that will also be affected in rounds 9 & 11 due to a 3 week holiday period for a lot of private schools. Any exemptions outside of the above will need to be sent to football@smjfl.com.au for consideration. To help with response times it is asked that clubs provide as much detail as possible with any requests (why you need an exemption {show you've exhausted all other options} how many players you've got, names and playing records of players you're requesting exemptions for).
Interleague This Weekend
A reminder that we've got Interleague matches all weekend so please ensure you share the fixture details with club members so we can have as much support as possible for our South Metro Stars!
Club Umpire Shirts...
...have arrived and are available for collection from the SMJFL office during office hours. If you are yet to place an order and would like to please submit via the following form: http://smjfl.com.au/order-club-umpire-uniform/
Player Jumper Numbers
After receiving a few queries, we'd like to clarify that any late changes to jumper numbers must be handwritten on the team sheet then updated online ASAP after the game. It is also a good idea to let the umpires know as they use jumper numbers and names when submitting votes online.
If a player has changed jumpers throughout the season, please ensure team sheets are accurate.
General Manager Advert
The SMJFL is currently advertising for a new General Manager. Please circulate the advert through any networks that might be interested: http://www.seek.com.au/job/31122884
