5 More Health Risks NOT Worth Taking
Since several enjoyed last weeks article, I decided to continue on with 5 more health risks NOT worth taking.
1. Fluoride Toothpaste & Fluoridated water
Fluoride is a by-product of the phosphate fertilizer industry, and is a hazardous waste which cannot be disposed of locally, nor can it be dumped into the ocean, due to its toxidity. YET, it is allowed in our water and toothpaste. The fluoride added to most water supplies is not the naturally occurring variety, but rather fluorosilicic acid, which is very toxic and a possible cancer hazard.
Over 34 human studies and 100 animal studies link fluoride to brain damage, including lower IQ in children, and a wide variety of health problems, including: thyroid disease, arthritis, dementia, muscle disorders, bone fractures, increased tumor and cancer rate, disrupted immune system, damaged sperm, increased infertility, inhibited formation of antibodies, hyperactivity or lethargy. Research indicates that it is an endocrine disruptor that can affect our bones, brain, thyroid gland, pineal gland, and blood sugar levels.
There are several risks involved from a colonoscopy, such as perforation of the colon, but the main risk is infection from a contaminated scope. These flexible scopes are simply impossible to clean properly. Contamination of feces, blood, and tissue can be passed on from one patient to another. If one is concerned for colon cancer, another medically accepted screening method is FOBT (fecal occult blood testing). This is much safer and easier.
3. Using Artificial Sweeteners
Studies have found that artificial sweeteners, can stimulate your appetite, increase carb cravings, stimulate fat storage, and weight gain. One study showed that saccharin and aspartame were found to cause greater weight gain than sugar. Aspartame is considered the most problematic. It has been synthetically modified to carry a methyl group, called a methyl ester, which is very weak and allows the methyl group to easily break off and form methanol. It acts as a Trojan horse, and is carried into susceptible tissues in the body, like the brain and bone marrow, where the alcohol converts it into formaldehyde. This wreaks havoc with sensitive proteins and DNA.
4. Getting Amalgam Fillings or a Root Canal
Amalgam fillings contain mercury, copper, silver, tin, zinc and range in color from silver to gray. These contain high amounts of toxic heavy metals that wreck havoc on our body. The mercury these amalgam fillings release contribute to over 100 health issues.
Just in the case of multiple sclerosis alone, during the period of 1970-1975, there was an average of 8800 per year. Then in 1976, the birth date of high-copper amalgams, there was an increase of up to 123,000 cases in one year!! Conventional dentistry has asserted that amalgamation process renders the mercury non-toxic, Yet, people with mercury fillings have higher levels of mercury in their urine, blood and brain, than those without fillings.
Root Canals are another problem. The toxicity of root canals was disclosed by Mayo's Clinic and Dr. Weston Price jointly back in about 1910. Dr. Price found that a high percentage of chronic degenerative diseases can originate from root filled teeth. He shows how a simple root canal can affect your heart, kidneys, lungs, eyes, stomach, brain, and nervous system. The main problem is that of hidden bacteria that is not reachable by antibiotics, and the formation of hapten, which is a small molecule the can elicit an immune response when attached to a protein.
Many people have reported their health improving after removing their amalgam fillings and root canals.
5. Using Statin Drugs
We're here to help you
As we dealt with in a previous newsletter, high cholesterol is a sign of inflammation, and not the cause. Taking statin drugs to lower it is NOT the right thing to do. In fact, many well-known doctors are against lowering cholesterol with statin drugs, and claim that it is not necessary. There are just too many side effects, and they are not effective for over-all health and prevention of heart-attacks. Some side-effects of statins are: dizziness, cognitive impairment, memory loss, increased risk of cancer, decreased function of the immune system, depression, liver problems, muscle pain and weakness.
I trust this has been a help to you.
