Tomorrow is my 50th Birthday!! I am sooo excited to turn 50! I feel better now with more energy and health than when I was in my 20's and 30's. Since February is my birthday month, I want to celebrate big. I plan to share some of my "secrets" to health and youngevity this month as well.

February is also the month of my second birthday, so it is doubly special. Today, I would like to talk about my second birthday. As many of you know, I was raised in a missionary home and grew up in Japan. My parents taught us from the Bible daily, and we learned what was right and wrong. At the young age of four, I asked Jesus to forgive my sins and save me, but I did not fully understand.

As I grew older, I often struggled with whether or not I was truly on my way to heaven. Later, I graduated from high school and went on to Bible College in America. After finishing college, I went back to Japan to help in missionary work for about five years. I ended up having some health problems and returned to the States. During this trying time, in my life, God showed me that I had never been truly born again as the Bible states.  "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3)
 
As God showed me my true condition before Him, I was rather mad and upset at Him, because I had lived a good life and tried to serve Him, the best I knew how. Yet, although, I had believed God and the Bible, I had never seen myself as a lost sinner on my way to Hell. I had never truly repented of my sins and called on God to save me. I had only believed in God and the Bible, but He was not my personal Savior. Finally, when God showed me my lost condition, I came to Him in faith, and repentance, and asked Him to save me, and He did! I was 28 at the time and this was when I was born again! This was my second birthday, and I am so thankful and glad that God, in love, showed me my condition before Him, so that I could truly be born again and have eternal life.

Joy, happiness, and true peace only comes when we have peace with God, and this can only be done through Jesus Christ the Lord. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" (Romans 5:1).  Jesus Christ came to earth that we might have eternal life, and that our life might be full of peace and Joy.
